FUE hair transplantion

Popular in recent years, the FUE method of hair transplantation ( Follicular Unit Extraction - extraction of follicular associations) is a microsurgical manipulation of obtaining grafts (grafts) and their implantation without incisions and sutures.
Hair groups (follicles) of 1-3 hairs are taken one by one in the occipital region of the patient or in other parts of the body, the operation is painless and in one day.

An operation according to the FUE method always has a general plan:
1st stage - drilling of grafts with a special microsurgical instrument (punch), extraction and processing;
2nd stage - formation of channels for hair transplantation in the recipient zone;
3rd stage - piece implantation (laying) of grafts into the created channels (usually occurs in a checkerboard pattern).

FUE method of Manual technique 

Punch (a hollow tube with a beveled cut) is inserted into a metal handle. The surgeon makes two consecutive movements: translational and rotational, separating the graph for further work. The method is very laborious, it is used for donor volume up to 1500 grafts.

Mechanical method FUE

The most complex, requiring high qualification of a transplantologist. Here, a punch is used, inserted into a micro turbine, by rotation of which the graft is removed. The doctor works practically in one movement. It’s like switching from a hand drill to an electric one (everyone knows the difference).

The method makes it possible to obtain very high-quality grafts, reducing the percentage of "marriage" during their extraction to zero. The surgeon must feel very well the desired depth of insertion of the punch, regulate the speed of its rotation. The small diameter of the punch (in the RTH clinic - 0.6 mm), the turbine rotation speed up to 1000 rpm, give the main advantage of the FUE method: minimal trauma and aesthetic effect. Dotted micro scars that remain after the donor material sampling operation are almost invisible even on a shaved nape. After the operation, a person can wear a hairstyle of any length.

However, the sutureless method cannot be used for large areas of baldness, when more than 2500 grafts need to be transplanted. And the long duration of the operation (up to 8 hours) is not suitable for everyone.
