THE TECHNIQUE CHOÏ DE MICROGREFFE FUE
The Choï hair injection technique takes place in two stages:
The first step: the extraction of the follicular units
At the level of the sampling zone having been previously anesthetized, the doctor practices the extraction of the follicular micrograft units which include 1 to 4 hairs.
The micro-punch is placed around the visible portion of the follicular unit, and through a downward pressure accompanied by a rotational movement, it incises the skin around the follicular unit, to free it surrounding tissue. The follicular unit is then extracted by gentle traction.
The extraction is carried out using a “micro-punch” which is a very fine cylindrical instrument whose diameter is less than 1 mm which has the advantage of not leaving a scar.
Use of a manual micro-punch: a hollow circular scalpel with a diameter of 0.8 to 1mm.
Using a Choi injector:
The Choi injector consists of a bevelled tip needle with a lateral groove allowing the insertion of the follicle into the needle and a spring-loaded plunger system to push the implant out of the needle into the scalp.
The doctor inserts a follicle into the needle and then inserts the needle that contains the follicle into the scalp. After insertion, the instrument allows the doctor to withdraw the needle and at the same time deposit the hair implant into the scalp. The major advantage of this instrument is that it creates a reception site and allows the placement of the graft simultaneously (unlike strip and traditional FUE methods which first make incisions with a scalpel or a needle). needle in the receiving area, before forcing the implant in using forceps).

The advantages of Choï technique FUE hair micrografts: non-invasive microsurgery
It achieves a natural hairline due to the use of 1 hair follicular units.
There is no scalp strip cutting.
No scalpels, scalpels, sutures or staples are used.
Excellent technique for thinning hair.
The speed at which the hair is extracted and then re-implanted makes it possible to preserve the follicles, whereas with conventional grafting techniques, up to 30% of the grafts are lost.
It is not essential to shave the hair. You can be offered several approaches: full shave, line shave, no shave at all. For women, the session is always smaller due to the greater fragility of the female scalp.
No scar after the intervention at the sampling area, because it uses neither scalpel nor stitches.
Is practically not visible the days following the intervention allowing an immediate resumption of all activities.
No major bleeding.
Virtually painless technique due to the injection of repeated doses of local anesthesia throughout the procedure.
The post-operative follow-up is quick and simple (no sutures and no post-operative pain).
No thousands of receiving holes and scars in the implanted area.
No damage to the hair implant (minimal transection rate).
Possibility to return to work within 2 to 3 days.
Natural results : thanks to the Choï instrument, the doctor can choose the orientation, angle and depth of the implanted grafts.
Greater density: injection with the Choï instrument allows the follicles to be placed closer to each other than with the forceps and avoids the formation of circular scars at the base of the implanted follicles.
How many interventions are necessary to have a complete restoration?
The number of operations depends on the size of the bald area, the quality of the sampling area and the patient's desire.
When will the regrowth take place after the intervention?
With the FUE Choï technique, hair regrowth can be seen after 16 weeks depending on the speed of formation of the reimplanted follicular units. This new transferred hair will then grow naturally in its new location for the rest of the patient's life.
Does the hair obtained after the hair transplant look natural?
The FUE Choï technique has the advantage of giving a completely natural result.
Contrary to other techniques, the aspect of the implants is similar to that of the hair but especially one does not obtain the horrible hair of doll, true "fields of leeks", badly experienced by the patient.
Will the hair transplant be permanent?
Yes, the hair transplant will be permanent because the hair that has been implanted is from the Hippocratic Crown.
When should hair transplantation be performed?
The goal of the FUE Choï technique is to restore hair loss so you can look the way you want. If one intervention is not sufficient, it is possible to complete the treatment with other sessions of micrografts.
Thanks to the FUE Choï technique, everyone can restore their hair according to their budget.
Is the FUE Ultra technique painful?
New advances have made the procedure painless. The patient can listen to music, watch TV and have a light meal during the procedure, which takes 4 to 6 hours.
Can we quickly return to work?
You can return to work within 2 or 3 days, however some redness in the implanted area may remain visible until the 7th day after the procedure.
Should I shave my head on the day of the operation?
Full shaving of the scalp to 2 mm on the day of the operation is not compulsory. However, it may be relevant when the area of the areas to be treated is large.
Does the operation leave scars in the donor area?
The intervention leaves no scar in the area to be treated.
Does the extracted hair grow back in the donor area?
The collected hair is not supposed to grow back in the donor area because the doctor extracts it with the root. However, it is estimated that 6 months after the operation, on average 15% of the extracted follicles can grow back.
Can injected hair fall out?
The implanted hair does not react to DHT which causes premature hair loss therefore it does not fall back.
Can hair be taken from another individual? (brother, sister, friend, etc.)
The risks of rejection are too high, which therefore rules out the possibility of an external donor.
Can we inject hair from other parts of the body?
It is possible to take chest hair that will only be used on the tonsure (the top of the skull) to improve low density hair. It is not possible to use hair from other parts of the body.
Should post-operative treatment be used?
We recommend using Minoxidil on the implanted area for 6 months to accelerate the regrowth of the implanted follicles.
Hair transplant feasibility criteria
Certain conditions likely to decompensate constitute contraindications to the realization of a hair transplant intervention. Taking anticoagulant treatment due to delayed healing can also compromise the graft implantation protocol.
There are a number of contraindications directly related to the scalp itself:
1) Insufficiency of the sampling area : either because the density is insufficient (less than half of a normal density), or because the remaining scalp surface is insufficient for the recipient area.
2) Some keloid scars from the harvest area.
3)Some patients who have already undergone too many scalp graft operations in particular: too many strips which make it difficult to find new grafts of sufficient quality on a very distended scalp and in order not to damage the donor area even more already very sparse.
