The principle of hair transplantation is simple: take hair from the back of the head, in the crown area (least sensitive to alopecia) then implant (graft) them one by one on less dense areas or baldness of the hair (temporal gulfs, tonsure, frontal line), eyebrows or beard.
All the subtlety of this surgery lies in the use of the most modern and successful techniques of hair reimplantation: removal of the grafts by FUE (follicular unit extraction), miniaturization of the hair follicles removed and reimplantation of the hair by DHI (implanter of CHOI).
The hair is taken under local anesthesia by FUE, that is to say one by one by multiple punctures in the crown area, in order to have the least possible sequelae on the sampling area compared to the samples of yesteryear. per strip (FUT).
Thus the scars of sampling are small points distributed randomly on the scalp at the back of the head, almost invisible even with short hair.
The collected hair is then reimplanted one by one in areas of alopecia in order to redraw and redensify the hair, eyebrows or beard.
The miniaturization of the grafts and the current techniques of reimplantation make it possible to obtain aesthetic results, very natural and durable over time.
Hair transplantation is often combined with drug treatments (minoxidil and finasteride) and injections of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) which can slow down or even stop hair loss, increase hair density and improve hair quality. new hair.
AFTER THE PROCEDURE
Hair transplantation is a reliable surgical procedure with simple post-operative consequences.
Discharge is envisaged on the same day of the operation (outpatient).
A recovery period of 2 to 5 days depending on your professional activity is recommended.
The first days can be marked by the appearance of edema and bruises on the scalp, which resolve quickly.
The surgery is not very painful, simple analgesics are sufficient and will be prescribed by your cosmetic surgeon.
The grafted hair will fall at the same time as the scabs around the 8th day, to grow back in a sustainable way around 2-3 months, at the rate of one centimeter per month.
A period of 3 to 4 months is therefore necessary to assess the final result of the micrografts.
The practice of all physical and sports activities is not recommended for 1 month.
Showers are authorized the day after the operation.
However, baths are not recommended during healing.
